About the Collection Vibia Wireflow
The LED suspensions Wireflow by Vibia are a reinterpretation of the classical chandelier. They use simple light heads, yet an even more impressive suspension of slender cables and metallic spokes that draw geometrical shapes in the air. The collection Wireflow comprises several fourfold and eightfold pendant lights, each in various sizes. The design is signed by Arik Levy.
The light is spread by four or eight cylindrical light heads of shiny black aluminium. Despite their faceted shape and the high-quality glass diffusers, they rather take a backseat in the Wireflow design. It does not impair their function: the light shines downwards and ensures direct table illumination with cosy, pleasant character. The integrated LEDs are distinguished not only by an especially warm white colour temperature, but also by a high colour rendering.
Each light head is suspended on a long electrical cable. The cables are not simply hanging straight downwards but are deflected by angular metallic rings as to create three-dimensional shapes. The metallic spokes come in black and are only nearly as thick as the also black cables so that both elements visually merge. The achieved line pattern draws large diamond-shaped volumes of partly imposing size that require large rooms with high ceilings to reach their full potential. Because the shapes are only suggested, they seem immaterial and nearly weightless and entirely transparent, so that they do not clutter the room or block the view.
Functional light and a meaningful minimalism with precise lines turn Wireflow into lighting objects with a universal character that effortlessly adapt to modern architecture and classically furnished interiors. They can serve singly or in compositions and offer many designing possibilities. What is more, the Wireflow LED suspensions are part of an even larger collection, comprising complex chandeliers and simple single spot lights and make even individual cable routings possible. Demanding lighting concepts in the project area are made simply possible, particularly as further cooler colour temperatures for the LEDs are available on request.
