About the Collection Vibia Pin
The LED lights Pin by Vibia are marked by a geometrical aesthetics and a functional clearness. The collection by Ichiro Iwasaki includes several floor lamps, table lamps and wall lamps with one or two arms of different lengths. All lights are matt lacquered in one from four versatile colours: black, white, cream and green.
The light head is shaped like a small semi-sphere and is made of aluminium. It rests on a structure of stainless steel, often composed of two parts, forming an angle of 90 degrees and featuring a soft bend. A rod next to the head serves to conveniently direct the light without touching the head itself. A polycarbonate diffuser prevents the glare and evenly distributes the light of the integrated LEDs. The thick, circular base is made of zinc alloy. All elements are lacquered uniformly and appear to form a harmoniously well-balanced unity.
The floor and table lamps provide reading and working light - here the table lamp shines above all with a conveniently reachable switch on the base and two different arm lengths for various table sizes. Among the floor lamps, there are models with two arms and independently orientable shades that, for example, in addition to reading light also provide an atmospherical back illumination.
Especially the wall lamps convince with varied and different lighting functions. Here, there are light fixtures with one or two arms spreading direct, steerable reading light or indirect, guided illumination against the wall. Precisely models with indirect light are suitable for more complex patterns of soft light and fine geometrical line management, a fancy wall ornament.
The integrated LEDs have an especially warm white colour temperature of 2700K and a very good colour rendering of Ra>90, creating a cosy, warm light, representing the colour hues near-natural. The light fixtures are not dimmable.
