About the Collection Vibia Palma
The LED lights Palma combine their function as light source with the function of a presentation surface for houseplants. The vegetation, an element from the external area, is translated in the interior room and becomes part of the architectural design. The collection by Anto Arola consists first of suspensions and wall lamps in several versions. The lamps can be combined in various ways to create ensembles and entire lighting concepts.
As diffusers, the Palma lights use balls of white opaline glass, held by slender aluminium rings. Some models have several diffusers that are usually arranged along a minimal, linear structure of aluminium. Hemispherical flower pots of PMMA harmoniously complement the design by using the same formal language. The suspensions have nearly invisible, filigreed suspensions. The vertical models are even devoid of aluminium profile and their diffusers and pots are connected via three thin cables only.
The LED light sources with especially warm white colour temperature and high colour rendering ensure a cosy, comfortable light above all above dining tables, in living rooms, lounges and similar interiors for the right atmosphere, and are located in the diffusers. The light shines in all the directions so that the Palma LED lights are also suitable for general lighting, above all when several exemplars are arranged to form lively clusters or simple rows and grids. On the contrary, when dimmed the light fixtures ensure soft light accents. For a use in the project sector, there is a choice of Palma suspensions with different dimming technologies and light control systems. The horizontal suspensions highlight the flower vases with own small spotlights.
Despite a minimalistic clearness, the Palma design seems organical. The light fixtures gain their final appearance only in combination with plants and are turned into unique pieces with a very unique appeal. The biophilic design is an ode to nature that upgrades living rooms, cafes and stairwells with lively accents and bright light.
