About the Collection Vibia Origami
The LED wall lamps Origami by Vibia decorate walls in interior and outdoor areas with indirect illumination and an aesthetics inspired by the traditional Japanese folding paper art. The collection was designed by Ramón Esteve and includes two single lights with different folding structures and wall lamps with two, three and four asymmetrically grouped elements. They can be combined into different patterns. There are four colour hues to choose from: white, brown, green and red.
The shades are made of ABS, structures and connecting arms of polycarbonate. At first glance, only the shades are visible. They are flat and square, reminiscent of paper sheets because of their surface's soft bends. The opaque material ensures that the light shines behind the shade, brightens the wall and that the light fixture is softly highlighted. Multi-parts lights have their shades arranged in such a manner that the corners and edges partly overlap. The light emphasizes the folded structure with various shadows and thus creates complex lighting landscapes.
With a depth of only 7 cm, the light fixtures do not impact on the architecture but harmoniously integrate. They offer a soft lighting and a magical wall ornament, without cluttering the existing room, in narrow corridors, on exterior facades in entry areas or on balconies.
The integrated LEDs have an especially warm white colour temperature and a very good colour rendering. Their light is warm and natural, perfectly suited for the living room and the bedroom, the balcony and the terrace, but also for public and commercial spaces, restaurants and waiting rooms, reception rooms and foyers.
The Origami lights have an IP65 protection index, are also sufficiently protected against foreign bodies, dust and water to be used in unsheltered exterior areas.
It is possible to connect a maximum of 30 modules to a single wall connection. Connection systems for larger compositions are available on request.
