About the Collection Vibia North
The LED lights North of Vibia have shades in clear Scandinavian design. Above all, the remarkable structures and mountings that turn the shades into fancy and incredibly functional floor lamps, wall lamps and suspensions are striking. The shades are available in three sizes and in the colours black, white, beige and blue. The design is signed by Arik Levy.
The conical shade is made of matt lacquered aluminium. Its bevelled edge and round tip lend the basically simple silhouette character and harmony. The shade is suspended on a long cable. Most models of the collection have it suspended on a slender rod of carbone fibre, in oblique position from a floor base or a wall mounting or hanging from the ceiling. Particular suspensions are devoid of this element, in favour of a simple suspension with vertical cable - a flexible and unobtrusive version.
The North LED light fixtures generally require a lot of space in the room and sometimes use very extravagant suspensions and structures that are best emphasized in large rooms, in restaurants, in modern houses, hotel foyers and waiting areas, office buildings and other high-class projects. They are filigree and expansive, geometrical, asymmetrical and nevertheless nearly organic.
The collection's varied versions enable very individual and creative lighting concepts. The light emitted by all the light fixtures shines downwards and is suitable above all for illuminating tables, seating groups, kitchen counters and reading nooks. Four shade widths enable a needs-oriented lighting effect, for example for diverse table widths, yet can be combined to achieve individually wideangled light and a varied appearance.
The integrated LEDs have an especially warm white colour temperature of 2700K and a high colour rendering. Their light is especially cosy and pleasant; colour hues are naturally represented so that faces appear lively and meals appetizing. Especially in restaurants, in living spaces and everywhere, where human beings spend time together, such a high-quality light stands the test. The brightness is dimmable, while the simple suspensions require an external dimmer for this purpose, the dimmer switches are mostly directly integrated in the light's structures and bases, discreetly yet conveniently within reach.
Clear shapes and elegant colour hues turn North into universally usable light sources. The oblique rods provide an unexpected visual appeal and an experimental character. Especially the floor lamps are inspired by interior plants and are much more than pure light sources. They are expansive lighting objects that unexpectedly interact with the room.
The cable and plug of the floor lamps can be optionally removed and replaced by a fixed connection. The base is fixedly mounted on the floor in this case. This cableless version is especially well-suited for public areas and passage rooms, because the lack of cable eliminates a tripping hazard and obviously elevates the elegance of the overall appearance.
