About the Collection Vibia Meridiano
The exterior lights Meridiano by Vibia create a light and shadow interplay that is reminiscent of sunrays. The collection was designed by Meritxell Vidal and Jordi Vilardell, and comprises a wall lamp and two floor lamps, additionally serving as storage area and seat. The light fixtures are available in off white and khaki.
The light fixtures have a flat, round reflector held by many thin metallic spokes. A round base contains the LED that spreads a glare-free, even light thanks to a glass diffuser and the light's construction.
Shape and size of each model differ from each other. The wall lamp is small and flat, while the side walls formed by the spokes are rather imperceptible. On the contrary, the spokes of the floor lights are significantly bent, and therefore have a round silhouette.
For all the models, the light is blocked to the front and upwards and passes through the spokes around the light fixture. A soft light ring is created that is interrupted by slender radial shadows.
Thanks to an especially flat shape with a depth of 5 cm only, the wall lamp is suitable even for slender balconies and next to stairs and paths in the entry areas. Despite moderate dimensions, it demands a lot of space for its lighting effects, when on, and fills whole walls.
All the floor lamps impress with their lighting effect, for this purpose, the filigree shape is sufficient, to turn Meridiano into an eyecatcher. Here the spokes are longer and bent, so that a softly convex silhouette arises. The delicacy of the metallic stems nearly produces the impression that the seating and storage surface of polyurethane floats above the floor. The light source is located in the base and creates not only the characteristical rays around the light fixture, but also illuminates the spokes' inner side. A multilayered, fascinating lighting effect is created. The light is blocked upwards by the upper side, glare is prevented and the light pollution is reduced outdoors. The illumination by Meridiano is agreeable for both human beings and animals.
The technical properties of the integrated LEDs contribute to quality and good compatibility of its light. An especially warm white colour temperature creates a pleasant atmosphere and has less negative effects on nocturnal insects. Thanks to the very good colour rendering, the colour hues appear unchanged and underline the natural beauty of the illuminated plants and buildings.
The floor lamps are affixed with screws in the underground. They can be mounted with or without plug. Without plug the current supply is made underground.
