About the Collection Vibia Mayfair
With the LED lights Mayfair by Vibia, the designer Diego Fortunato translates a classical light design in the present time. The French bouillotte table lamp from the 19th century has been reinterpreted with modern materials and high-quality LED light sources. The collection comprises floor lamps, table lamps and suspensions with a shade of synthetics or metal, available in various colours.
The flat shade is shaped like a truncated cone and equipped inside with a small cone that shields the integrated LEDs from a direct view. The light is reflected by the shade's inner side and is to a great extend largely spread downwards. A small part escapes upwards and complements the direct light with a background illumination that is easy on the eye. A vertical metallic stem seems to pierce the shade. The tip that juts out from the light head lends the silhouette visual balance and fancy details. The Mayfair lights are devoid of further decorative components and instead rely on the delicate beauty of their shapes and on the strong character of their different materials and surface colours. Depending if the shade is made of stainless steel or translucent, coloured PMMA, the Mayfair lights set multicoloured accents and create a subtly different lighting effect.
The integrated LEDs spread a cosy, relaxing light with an especially warm white colour temperature and a natural colour rendering. The brightness can be adapted continuously to achieve the desired atmosphere. For this purpose, the table and floor lamp have sensorial dimmers that are conveniently within reach and integrated in the design. The table lamp has its dimmer on the base, the floor lamp has it on the light shade's underside.
Mayfair provides living rooms and bedrooms with cosy lighting accents and delicate decorative objects. The suspensions are suitable for dining tables and counters, while the floor lamp fills naked room corners, and the table lamp spreads a beautiful light on sideboards and bedside tables.
