About the Collection Vibia Bamboo

The LED exterior lights Bamboo by Vibia can perfectly adapt to exterior areas and gardens because their design is at the same time modern and minimalistic and nature-inspired. The collection includes fixedly mounted bollard lights and spike lights in a range of sizes with simple, double or threefold structure and available in several atmospheric colours. A small wall lamp complements the portfolio. The design is signed by Antoni Arola and Enric Rodríguez.

Bamboo's slender, tubular light bodies have a diameter of 4 cm only. Apertures located sideways are steered obliquely downwards and emit the integrated LEDs' light in a directional manner. They are placed in a staggered position and at irregular distance on the stem. Soft transitions reinforce the impression of a naturally grown branch or a bamboo plant. The twofold and treefold versions achieve an especially organical emission because their tubes are of differing lengths and rest in a slightly oblique position on the common base.

The slender Bamboo body is made of glass fibre and synthetics and the diffusers are of PMMA. The integrated LEDs spread a high-quality light with especially warm white colour temperature and high, natural colour rendering. The light fixtures seem very natural because their light shines downwards, preventing the glare and reducing light pollution. The light cones are limited to the light's next proximity, shine on the floor and on surrounding walls, house walls and plants. The Bamboo lights fulfill diverse lighting tasks: functional paths illumination, decorative accents and atmospherical back illumination. They appeal even with their lighting effect with lively asymmetry and seemingly randomness and interact with the surroundings on an entirely unique manner.

The lights with spikes can be moved around and are connected to a socket. They can be dug in the lawn, in flowerbeds and other exterior areas with soil. They make possible to correct their position anytime und adapt the lighting effects precisely to every new situation. The alternatives with ground anchor have, on the contrary, the advantage that the current runs subterraneously. They are perfectly suitable for demanding lighting concepts in public exterior areas, for paths and terraces, where overground running electrical cables are defacing and a tripping hazard. Because Bamboo is above all a collection for the project sector, the choice of models for fixed mounting is larger and comprises lights composed of several parts and very high. With several, partly high placed light sources, they cover a large radius and emphasize close walls and house walls also vertically.
