About the Collection Santa & Cole Fontana
André Ricard designed the Fontana lights already in 1970, and Santa & Cole released a new edition of them in 2021.
A voluminous, half-spherical metallic shade with a slit running around it is the disctinctive feature of the Fontana Pie floor lamp and the Fontana suspension. The adjective "half-spherical" does not accurately describe the light body which is in fact three quarters of a ball. The ball is disrupted by a slit through which some light escapes. Additionally, the light is distributed directly downwards, while a translucent diffuser of methacrylate prevents the light from glaring.
Santa & Cole Fontana's light shade is made of white metal with a shiny surface which is both futurist and elegant, and harmonizes with many furnishing styles, whether modern or classical. Fontana's new edition is equipped with integrated LEDs.
