About the Collection Moooi Tubelight

The LED pendant light Tubelight by Moooi plays with the concept of a fluorescent tube and creates something new. The lighting tubes are not straight and rigid, but draw smooth curves. It is possible to choose between a version with a single, predefined bend and a version with a flexible diffuser tube that takes on the most different shapes. Tubelight was designed by the design studio BCXSY.

The rectangular casing is made of powder-painted aluminium and holds two tube-like silicone diffusers laying next to each other. While one of the diffusers serves like a conventional fluorescent tube, that lies straight within the casing, the second diffuser winds out from its holder and breaks the design's strict arrangement. The model Tubelight 150 has a diffuser hanging down as a bend with a firmly defined shape, while Tubelight 500 is flexibly formable and so long that is can be wrapped around the light casing several times, it can hang down and even be affixed to surrounding walls.

The diffusers are equipped with high-quality LEDs that thanks to their very high colour rendering and warm white colour temperature create a bright and pleasant illumination, well-suited for conference tables, commercial spaces, working surfaces or dining tables. Thanks to the dim-to-warm function, the colour temperature gets warmer when dimmed down, so that the right lighting atmosphere is provided for cosy evenings.
