About the Collection Mawa Design Wittenberg 4.0 wi4-ab-1e

The LED lights Wittenberg 4.0 wi4-ab-1e by Mawa Design are spotlights for surface mounting with angular casing and a single reflector head. The collection belongs to the expansive Wittenberg product family, designed by Jan Dinnebier. Its many variants enable the most diverse lighting solutions for highest demands. This subcollection composed of single spotlights comprises several models that differ visually and with their lighting technique.

The standard spotlight wi-ab-1e has the light head in the middle of the rectangular casing. The model wi4-ab-1e-as has is arranged asymmetrically, laterally. wi4-ab-1e-hb's spotlight is also located in the middle but is semi-recessed in the casing. It is flush with the head or entirely recessed in the version wi4-ab-1e-kb.

All models are available with three different illumination angles (12 degrees, 24 degrees or 38 degrees) and in several surfaces. The half-recessed and head flush versions are optionally equipped with the dim-to-warm function via Casambi control. The remaining models are standardly dimmable with an external trailing-edge dimmer.

Casing and reflector heads consist of aluminium with powder-painted or metallised surface. The heads are equipped with high-quality lens units that guide the light in one direction and reduce its glare. High-quality integrated LEDs with especially warm white colour temperature and very high colour rendering ensure a pleasant illumination that reproduces all the colour hues via the whole spectrum naturally and accurately.

The reflector heads can tilt by 90 degrees and turn by 365 degrees so that direct illumination downwards and lighting accents are possible in every desired direction.

All the Mawa Wittenberg single spotlights are characterized by a compact design that relies on clear, geometrical shapes. The reflectors are devoid of visible screws and thus masterly demonstrate their minimalistic appearance. The casings are larger and more domineering as the smaller heads, also because they contain the control gear. The head flush and semi-recessed models let the reflectors blend in with the casing and achieve a new, nearly monolithic aesthetics.

The Wittenberg LED spotlights are outstandingly suitable to set deliberate lighting accents and brighten certain room areas, pictures and sculptures, shelves and presentation surfaces. The illumination angle must be selected according to the lighting task and size of the area to be illuminated. Thanks to their smaller size and univeral design, they integrate effortlessly in every room and existing illumination. Combined with other spotlights of the Wittenberg collection, unified, needs-oriented lighting concepts for private use, but also public rooms and projects of every kind are created.

To implement the most demanding lighting concepts, also the Mawa Wittenberg single spotlights are available also with other properties. On request, cooler colour temperatures and individual RAL colours for reflectors and casings are available. Besides, the spotlights can be equipped with various accessories to modify their lighting effect. You can choose from honeycomb grid, shutter to reduce the glare, attachment to enlarge the angle of illumination, special sculpture lenses and replacement lens units, if another illumination angle is desired afterwards. Special tools, helping to exchange the accessories, are also available. For one lens, always one attachment only can be combined.
