About the Collection Mawa Design Stuttgart
The compact lights Stuttgart by Mawa Design pass from direct to indirect light by simply rotating their shade. The collection comprises a ceiling lamp and a table lamp that are scarcely differing in terms of size, design and functionality. The table lamp is available in a large colour range and sets colourful accents on the shelf or on the bedside table, if needed. They were designed by Michele Rami.
The Stuttgart lights are made of powder-painted aluminium and are built so compactly that they find room everywhere. Thanks to clear, geometrical shapes, they can harmoniously integrate in every furnishing style. The simple slender cylindre with lateral slot appears minimalistic and at first sight insignificant - the simple design enables various lighting effects, simply by turning the shade in the desired position. The light passes through the lateral aperture in one direction and ensures a direct and indirect illumination as desired. For a more effective light reflection, the shade's inside generally comes in white. The exception is the entirely black version of the ceiling lamp. Because the lamp remains visible, the use of a LED filament lamp or a lamp with reflecting cap, impacting on the illumination, is worth it.
