About the Collection Mawa Design Heron

The LED floor lamp Heron by Mawa Design is a delicate reading light with flexibly directable light cone. The design is signed by Sauerbruch Hutton.

Heron consists of powder-coated aluminium and is composed of only few simple parts. A small, cylindrical light head is held by a slender, movable light arm. A counterweight on the stem's other end keeps it in balance in every position. A vertical, no lesser slender stem and a round floor base form the base. The cables run inside the structure, but at the transition spots between stems or stem and light head it runs externally as a visible loop. A textile-coated cable with angle plug leads to the socket. The touch dimmer is located at convenient height on the vertical light stem. Its version in polished aluminium establishes a contrast with the surface's design of the remaining light fixture in uniform black, grey or blue.

The light arm can rotate by 180 degrees and can be tilted by 166 degrees. Also the light head is tiltable by 60 degrees and rotates laterally by 300 degrees, so that nearly every thinkable light orientation can be achieved.

Via a touch dimmer, the brightness is continuously adjusted on the wished value. Thanks to the memory function, the light fixture retrieves the last selected brightness when it is switched on again.

The integrated LEDs spread a strong light that effortlessly brightens room corners and sets deliberate accents. The especially warm white colour temperature of 2700K ensures an outstandingly cosy and pleasant illumination. Also the colour rendering value is high and contributes to the light quality. The illumination angle is of 24 degrees.

On request, the Heron LED reading light is also available with the light colours of 3000K or 4000K, with special light colours or with the excellent colour rendering of Ra > 95.
