About the Collection Mawa Design Bullauge
The LED lights Bullauge by Mawa Design are the abstraction of a round porthole, universally used light sources for even, diffuse illumination. The collection comprises wall and ceiling lamps and suspensions in diverse sizes. They were designed by Martin Wallroth.
All lights of the collection consist of a flat, round aluminium structure, framing a diffuser of plexiglas. The similarity with a boat's porthole is present, especially in the wall and ceiling lamps that are directly mounted on the wall or ceiling and seem to be part of the architecture thanks to the lower depth of their metallic frame.
The LEDs' regular arrangement behind the thick plexiglas plate ensures an even lighting surface without shadows. The light shines directly in the room, for the suspension downwards, and is suitable for the general illumination of rooms and as a light source above tables. The LEDs are characterized by an especially warm white colour temperature, great light intensity and a very high colour rendering, creating a high-quality, pleasant illumination. It is already the 5th generation of LED lights Bullauge with LED technique according to current standards.
Their universal shape and outstanding light quality turn the Bullauge LED lights into the perfect means for creating individual lighting concepts in private rooms and in the field of architectural projects. For example, suspensions can be arranged in rows and clusters and ceiling lamps can be ordered to form individual lighting landscapes. Especially obvious is of course the mounting of several wall lamps in a row to imitate authentic portholes.
The light fixtures come with a white powder layer, yet on request individual RAL colours are also available. They are, on request, also available with 3000K LEDs. The suspensions are on request available with additional uplight.
