About the Collection Leucos Lightbody
The light fixtures Lightbody fascinate with an uncommon shade of free blown glass that nestles around the lamp. The collection comprises a suspension and a table lamp, available in a transparent and pink coloured glass version. The design is signed by Jörg Hugo.
The blown glass shades are entirely made by hand. The liquid glass is blown into a shape by a glass art master, so that size and shape are comparable, but each exemplar is somewhat different. Each Lightbody light fixture is a unique piece, the shape of which cannot be replicated.
The light fixtures are equipped with a E27 lamp that is located outside of the glass shade and is a visible and essential part of the design. The organically shaped glass body nestles around the lamp and shines in its light. By using a LED lamp with mirrored dome, the light is guided in one direction - downwards for the table lamp, upwards for the suspension. In this way, glare is avoided and the glass shade is emphasized in a particular manner.
The Lightbody glass lights' handcrafted production results in air inclusions and other irregularities in the glass, as well as slightly varying shapes and glass thicknesses. These are not flaws, but quality features, testifying of a careful, artistic manufacturing process.
Each light fixture has an engraved series number that proves its authenticity and individuality.
