About the Collection Leucos Aella

The LED lights Aella by Leucos capture the movement of a whirlwind and keep it permanently in blown glass. The collection comprises table lamps and suspensions in several sizes and in diverse metallic and glass colours. Aella was designed in 1968 by Toso and Massari and embodies Leucos' timeless design principles.

The blown glass diffuser is carefully made by hand. It is shaped like a dome with a closed underside that is concave and forms a tip. The transparent glass enables to look at this conical shape, emphasized by the light of the integrated LED. The LEDs remain invisible, concealed in the cylindrical metallic structure behind a diffuser disc. The metallic cylindre serves as a base for the table lamps and as a connecting part between shade and suspension system for the suspensions.

The Aella lights shine with high-value and subtle elegance. Because the LEDs are concealed in the metallic structure, the glass diffuser remains empty and the tip in its inside seems to shine by itself.

The metallic cylindres are available in several surfaces, the glass is transparent or dyed in smokey grey. All versions harmonize with each other and wonderfully adapt to modern living spaces and furnishing styles of any kind. The suspensions have the particularity that the three different models have elongated or flat metallic structures and thus result in other silhouettes. All sizes, shapes and colours can be harmoniously combined with each other in groups.
