About the Collection Ingo Maurer Oskar
The Oskar LED lights by Ingo Maurer not only spread reading light, but also serve as bookends in shelves or on the bedside table. The collection comprises the table lamps Oskar LED and LED's Oskar which feature different light heads and colours, and the multifunctional wall lamp Oskar on the Shelf which has a tray and a USB recharge port.
The lights are made of aluminium and powder-painted metal. The light head rests on a flexible arm and is steerable at will. The slender body is shaped like a book, so that it can be placed effortlessly between the books on a shelf. Thanks to its broad, flat base it can stand freely or serve as a bookend. A toggle switch is located within reach on the front of the light body and switches the light on and off, while the very long electrical cable disappears discreetly behind the row of books.
The different models are suitable for diverse uses: Oskar on the Shelf is fixedly installed on a wall shelf and shines as a versatile piece of furniture, replacing for example a bedside table. It is ideally suited for modern, minimalistic bedrooms, convinces also in hotel rooms and narrow corridors, because it has many significant functions. LED's Oskar and Oskar LED offer fewer additional functions, yet enable a great versatility and can be placed in every shelf, on sideboards and bedside tables.
