FontanaArte Yumi by Shigeru Ban: a minimalist, arched LED lamp for the illumination of sitting corners, tables and more.
Yumi consists of a very slender, elegantly curved arch, deprived of a visible shade. Instead, the LEDs are integrated in the arch's upper segment, and direct their light directly downwards. Cable, electronic ballast and dimmer are also integrated in the structure, lending the light's design a clear appearance and a strong expression.
Thanks to its reduced shape and harmonious effect, Yumi is outstanding in nearly every context and adapts to minimalist and modern interiors as well as to classical styles.
Yumi is made of black composite material on a carbone fiber base or of white lacquered aluminium. The base is made of metal in both versions.
Yumi was awarded the iF Design Award in gold in 2014. The design dating back to 2011 was produced by the Japanese architect Shigeru Ban who made himself a name when designing the Centre Pompidou Metz.
