About the Collection Flos Climber
The wall lamps in the series Flos Climber Down or Up&Down consist in a body of aluminium poor in copper, cast under pressure which spreads warm white LED light with a beam angle of 12-16 (Spot) or 72-74 (Flood) degrees. The lighting wires are located in the rear part of the lower aperture and are protected by a curtain element, in order to minimize the glaring effect and to increase the visual comfort. The version with the higher light exit features a closing device for the upper lighting wires, located on the rim of the light fixture in order to prevent water deposits. The diffusers are covered with micro-textured glass and firmly glued in order to be waterproof. The micro-texture also ensures an even light beam distribution and the optimal light intensity of the integrated LED lamps.
The aluminium casing of the light fixtures Flos Climber is first sanded to get a porous surface to ensure an optimized adhesion. Then two layers of powder-paint are applied in accordance with the Qualicoat standards. To begin with a layer of epoxy powder-paint is applied to ensure the chemical and mechanical strength, then a layer of polyester to guarantee the resistance against UV rays and weathering follows. The surfaces available in various colours are treated with cleaning products containing base and acid, rinsed with demineralized water and undergo a chemical conversion to offer a protection against oxidation.
The light fixture is equipped with a 80 mm exit cable of neoprene, and a supply unit of 110-240V is included. On request, it is possible to order a dimmable version.
Cleaning instructions by the manufacturer: Keep the luminaire clean to prevent dirt deposit. On steel parts use dedicated cleaners only. Use a soft cloth and neutral soap to clean the device. Keep away from aggressive agents and chemical substances (e.g. fertilizer, weedkiller, lime).
