Mariana Pellegrino Soto

Mariana Pellegrino Soto was born and raised in Caracas, Venezuela. There she completed the Italian science secondary school. With 18 she moved to Italy and obtained a degree in product design at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Rome. During her three-years studies, Mariana spent one semester abroad on the campus of the institute in Barcelona.

In the context of a university competition for designing a glass water bottle "Aqua Santa Maria" of the Şayaçhi Group of Companies, the young Venezuelan won the Best Packaging Award at the Global Bottled Water Awards 2016.

During her last year of studies, the young designer worked on her final project with the Italian light brand Oluce. Her project was chosen by Oluce and developed by Oluce until the product's final manufacturing.

After Mariana Pellegrino Soto had also worked as a design developer for F&N Compositi, she moved to Milan and worked for Oluce during one year as in-house designer. Several light collections result from this collaboration.

Today, Pellegrino Soto works as a freelance interior architect and product designer.
