About the Collection DCW In the Sun


DCWéditions In The Sun was developed by Dominique Perrault and Gaëlle Lauriot-Prévost when the Pavillon Dufour in the Versailles Castle was renovated. The refined light fixtures are a homage to the Sun King Louis XIV.

The collection DCWéditions In The Sun shines in festive gold and silver colour and creates soft shadows. The result is a shimmering, mysterious light. The light fixtures In The Sun generate a special atmosphere in the rooms they illuminate. Whether on the wall, as a ceiling lamp or suspended, the result is magical. The In The Sun rechargeable table lamp was added to the collection in 2019.

The DCWéditions lights have glass diffusers, framed with pleated stainless steel grids. A circular, shiny metallic plate forms the second characteristic of the collection. The latter reflects the light, while the stainless steel grid filters the light and creates soft gold and silver light interplays.

The version also impacts on the lighting effect: Gold is warm and shimmering, silver is somewhat neutral. Especially the In The Sun wall and ceiling lamp projects magical light beams on the surrounding walls and imitates radiant sunlight.
