The lamps Luci d'Oro by Catellani & Smith play with light reflections and present themselves as fascinating lighting objects. The collection by Enzo Catellani includes different designs, among them luminaires for wall and ceiling, floor lamps, table lamps, recessed lamps and even candle holders. All models are made by hand and are characterized by a clear design, high-quality materials and sophisticated surfaces. "Luci d'Oro" means "golden lights" and refers to the use of gold leaf in the design of the lamp shades and reflectors. Alternatively, many luminaires also utilize silver or copper leaf, or black and white lacquer, which has an impact on the lighting effect: white or silver spread a cooler illumination, reminiscent of the moon, while copper and gold provide warm and fiery light. The unique irregular texture of the metal leaf is not only responsible for a light with lively complexity, but makes each lamp into a unique piece of art with one-of-a-kind details and its own charme.
Despite their differing designs, the Luci d'Oro lamps can easily be combined to create varied lighting concepts.
