The Cono LED wall lamp by Catellani & Smith is shaped like a slender, slightly conical tube and creates varied indirect lighting accents onto high walls. The light is emitted upwards and downwards. The upper aperture is larger and chamfered so that the gold-coloured inner life of the light is visible. The smaller, lower aperture attracts the attention only because of the light which illuminates the floor and the surrounding wall. Both light sources can be controlled separately. The upper light is dimmable, while the lower one can only be switched on and off. Cono makes various light scenarios possible, ranging from discreet back illumination to dramatic accents. Because of its length above two meters, Cono is best suited for rooms with high ceilings and requires space upwards and downwards to unfurl its lighting effect.
Cono W is painted by hand with blue colour so that the surface takes on a fancy structure thanks to the brush bristles. The inner side is modelled irregularly and covered with foil gold.
The distance to the floor should be at least 30 cm.
