About the Collection Artemide "O"
With the LED lights "O", Artemide and the design studio Elemental created a lighting object that fits unobtrusively in its environment in 2019. Even when switched off, the lights guide the eye like a frame and create highlights in the room, in the garden, on the balcony or terrace. The collection "O" includes pendant lights and floor lamps of several sizes as well as a small lamp that can be installed on the floor or on the wall. Beside models for outdoors, there are light fixtures for use inside.
The lamp's name is derived from its round shape, similar to the letter "O". It is asymmetrically placed on a black base to form the floor lamps, while the suspensions simply feature a perfect circle floating in the air and use a nearly invisible suspension on two wires. A LED ribbon has been inserted inside the aluminium ring and is equipped with a silicone diffuser so that soft light shines inside.
The light fixture "O" won the Archiproducts Design Awards 2018 in the Lighting category.
