The Alfa table lamp by Artemide is a designer classic from the 1950s which was included in Artemide's portfolio since the year of the company's foundation. It was designed in 1959 by Sergio Mazza. Its distinctive structure of nickel-plated metal has a high-quality shade of crystal glass with a decorative, grooved structure. The metallic parts are produced by hand and demonstrate a quality work, beyond mass-production. Its base is made of dark marble.
The light passes diffusely through the shade in the room, and shines partly downwards. Alfa provides pleasant light for reading and working on desks, and is an exquisite and charming eye-catcher on sideboards and side tables, thanks to an extraordinary shape. The light is continuously dimmable through a switch-dimmer on the electrical cable.
